Summer 2011 Contest

Scholarship
Each spring, Dr. Haeger awards scholarships to selected graduating seniors of the current year. Current or previous patients and their family members are eligible and an e-mail is sent out when it is time to apply. You may download an application (
WORD, PDF) under the FORMS heading of the website. Upon receipt, all applications received by the deadline are number coded and made anonymous (all name and school information is removed). Dr. Haeger then makes his selections based on a point system. This is our way of emphasizing education and rewarding our patients for their excellence in high school.
Due date is April 5th, 2012.

Do you work in an elementary school? Have your class do artwork and decorate our office! We need decorations for every season. Give us a call, tell us what kind of art your class would like to create and we will bring a pizza party to your class! Dr. Haeger will also give a dental presentation that the kids will love.
You can earn money by being careful about what you eat! Certain foods can damage braces and thereby extend treatment time. Haeger Bucks are designed as an incentive to encourage you to steer clear of the harmful foods like popcorn, gum, and foods that are hard, sticky, or chewy. These foods can bend wires or break braces. Haeger Bucks are given at the start of treatment and are forfeited if a broken brace occurs. By being careful with what you eat, your Haeger Bucks can be redeemed for their value in real cash!
These can be used to purchase various prizes including toys, movie passes, and gift certificates to various stores and restaurants. You will have the opportunity to earn Wooden Nickels during each adjustment appointment based on the following criteria:
- Being on time for the appointment
- Having excellent oral hygiene, which includes brushing and flossing
- Wearing rubber bands Wearing headgear and bringing it to every appointment Each criterion will be scored on a scale of 1 to 5. For every 5 you earn, you will receive a Wooden Nickel. You may also earn a Wooden Nickel by improving scores between visits.
If you have more than one family member in our practice, we can offer a savings for the second member and any subsequent members.
