Dr. Robert Haeger orthodontist in kent Dr. Haeger was born and raised in the state of Michigan. He began his education by attending The University of Michigan for his undergraduate studies and then continued on to Dental School. He was one of only a few students admitted to the Dental Education program after just three years of undergraduate studies. In 1987, he moved to Chicago where he pursued his post-graduate degree in Orthodontics at The University of Illinois.

Upon graduation in 1989, Dr. Haeger moved to Washington and opened his practice in January 1990. He became board certified in 1999 by the American Board of Orthodontics — a distinction held by less than 18% of all orthodontists nationally. This achievement represents an 8-year culmination of clinical work and a three-phase written and oral examination presented before a board of examiners. He was one of the first orthodontists nationwide to offer the benefits of an all-digital office. Computer charting, treatment demonstration software, Internet patient communication and an informative website have all resulted in superior treatment efficiency and patient care. It is a combination of these services that have made Dr.Haeger one of the most well-respected orthodontists in the area among dentists and patients.

To remain on the cutting edge of his profession, Dr. Haeger continues his education by participating in five different study clubs that consist of general dentists, periodontists and oral surgeons that meet to discuss their most complex treatment cases. He has also published recent articles in national orthodontic journals and has lectured discussing the integration of technology into his profession and the impact it has had within his practice.

Dr.Haeger has participated in numerous voluntary efforts within the community. He spearheaded a literacy campaign with the Kent School District that put 25,000 books in the hands of our students and aided in the development of programs to assist the education of at-risk children and increase dental access for the underprivileged.

Dr.Haeger and his wife Leslie are the enthusiastic parents of three children. Together they take pleasure in a variety of family activities that involve tennis, riding bikes, trips to the zoo, camping, coaching sports, going to the theatre, playing chess and reading.
